No reset button, but you could try unplugging it from the wall and then plug it back after a minute or two. I would try a different outlet or at least plug something into the current outlet to make sure it still works. If you have a surge protector between you and the outlet ( and you should ) unplug it and try straight to the outlet.

No power isn't time to panic, all your info (pictures) is on the hard drive probably ok, just can't get to it.

Possible problems power supply, faulty fans, bad expansion card (modem, video)

Most likely scenario if the quick fixes don't work is a bad power supply. Like the previous poster said most likely your data is safe and sound on the hard drive. A lot of times thats what happens when computers are damaged by lightning strikes, but even if your motherboard is fried your data is probably OK.

If you need a new power supply it'll cost you less than a c-note. If you're fairly comfortable working on computers you can install it yourself, but if not it won't cost you too much to get it done.

In any case, your pictures are probably fine but make sure to back 'em up once you get the computer fixed ; )

if the comp isn't turning on... replace the POWER SUPPLY. price can very from $50-120 for the unit... power supplys depending on usage length and stress will last about 3 years with the components we have now. anything mor then 5 years is pretty long.

mine last about 3 years because i am on it so much and do so intensive processes.
